Hi, I’m Ailie. I’m a BACP-registered psychotherapist trained in Transactional Analysis and I am a member of BICA (British Infertility Counselling Association). I specialise in trauma informed therapy with an interest in fertility issues, baby loss and those living with chronic illness. I am based in Edinburgh and West Lothian, as well as online, by telephone, and through walk-and-talk therapy in nature.
I work predominantly with women who have spent years coping, adapting often while feeling disconnected from themselves, their bodies, or their needs. I also work with those who need to unpack the impact of an event or sequence of events that have caused a significant challenge such as miscarriage, recurrent miscarriage, medical trauma or an infertility journey.
I know how significant it can feel to reach out for support. Therapy has been life-changing in my own journey, and I deeply respect the courage it takes to begin.
